Services & Pricing
15-minute free consults are available for those wanting to learn more about our services, and whether or not they are a right fit for care. For all those seeking acupuncture and / or herbal medicine, an initial consult is required. During this visit we will conduct a thorough interview of the chief concern and a comprehensive review of systems. Those seeking guasha, cupping, or qigong instruction only are not required to have a full initial evaluation, and may schedule these appointments at any time.
Acupuncture
75-Min Initial Consult & Treatment ( $240 )
50-Min Return Visits ( $160 )
Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles into or near the channels of the body in order to regulate the flow and distribution of qi and blood to the various tissues and organs. Because the channel network extends from the deepest organs and spaces out to the tips of the fingers and toes, acupuncture is able to treat pain, normalize physiological functions, and treat diseases and dysfunctions of the body and mind. Acupuncture visits may include auxiliary services like cupping, guasha, and tuina at no additional fee. Herbal consultation may also be included when relevant, but the cost of herbal medicine is not.
Herbal Medicine Consults
50-Min Initial Consult & Exam ( $160 - excludes cost of herbs)
25-Minute Follow Up ($80)
While Chinese herbal medicine is often done in combination with acupuncture, it can also be taken on its own as a treatment option. Chinese medicinal granular extracts of the highest quality and safety are used onsite to prepare custom formulas on a case by case basis. We proudly use granular extracts from Legendary Herbs.
Cupping & Guasha
25-Min Session ($80)
Cupping can be used in many ways. It is often used to pull toxins from deep layers of tissue up to the surface for metabolization and excretion. It can also be used to stimulate organ function, separate layers of adhered connective tissue, and increase blood flow to muscles. It is commonly employed in cases of pain, tension, and other soft-tissue dysfunctions, and as an adjunctive therapy in conditions of internal medicine.
Guasha, a technique that involves pressing a tool against the skin and repeatedly rubbing in a single direction, can be applied to almost any body surface. Guasha can reduce local and systemic inflammation, increase the flow of fluid around body tissues, and realign connective tissue to mitigate severe pain, relieve tension, and restore ease of movement. Guasha is commonly applied to the upper back and neck in the early stages of a cold, flu, or other upper respiratory virus to stimulate the immune system and accelerate the process of overcoming an infection.
Private Qigong Instruction
75-Min Session ( $240 )
50-Min Session ( $160 )
25-Min Session ( $80 )
Qigong are skills that train one’s awareness and intent to help promote internal harmony and self-healing. Similar to how physical training keeps your muscles strong and prevents injury, qigong keeps your channels open, clear, and full of nourishment, the same goals as acupuncture, to prevent disease and disharmony. There are stillness skills (like sitting and standing meditation) and moving skills (like silk-reeling qigong) and skills that work with the breath (healing sounds and some of the eight brocades). The benefit of private instruction is working with a teacher to developing a set of skills tailored to your individual needs.
Packages
3 and 5-packs of visits are available for all session durations to reduce the per-visit cost.
